I'm maths teacher in a secondary school in İzmir. I have been teaching mathematics for 10 years. I have also running international projects, like etwinning, Itec, erasmus plus. I have experience from comenius programme, too. I just finished my 2th comenius project. Here is my favourite projects and professional devolopment workshops which are completed. Capturing The Moment, Comenius Project with France, Aland, Austria. (That was a short documentary movie about pupils one day.) The Golden Number In Our Cultures, Comenius Project, with France, Italy, Spain . (It was really perfect project about golden section in architecture, music, cultures,literature etc.We created also a final exhibition in Paris. Information

It is very difficult to find students who do not recognize the importance of mathematics. However, it is harder to find students who are interested in mathematics, and like it. Students generally see the Mathematics as a necessity or an assignment which should be completed as soon as possible. They get bored in the world of symbols and shapes which don’t entertain them and they want to get rid of them as soon as possible. We can say that they never enjoy mathematics in a math lesson except for a few bad jokes that they make behind their teachers of mathematics. So couldn’t we take our students to an entertaining world of reality behind the symbols of abstract mathematics?In the 21st century, the latest technology toys are helping us. Computer, Internet, 'diji'tal cameras, 3G phones, websites etc. offer us lots of teaching materials that we can not imagine. In this project, we aim to combine the mathematics with the technology, the art of painting and photography, and to go on an artistic journey with " mathematics in every frame" During this journey, we are planning to bring together mathematics with the colors by taking out the students from the world of boring and abstract mathematics books. And with them their favorite mobile phones, laptops, etc. along with toys. It is a safe world as well.
